This is a lavish, labor-intensive guitar made of premium woods and designed for visual and musical impact. The soundboard is made from two matched pieces of spruce with grain spacing of 18 per inch. The rosette has a pattern band of small black crosses in small natural discs, all imbedded in a background of short black and natural line segments. This pattern band is bordered with strong black circles which are in turn surrounded with several thinner circles. The perimeter of the soundboard is edged with a matching 7mm wide band of black, natural and red strips. The bridge is made of dark wood with its tie-block topped with ivory-colored plastic edging surrounding a natural and black herringbone strip.

Back and sides are straight-grained, quartersawn Indian rosewood with wide multi-striped purfling, complementing the rosette, on all body edges. Neck and large head are Spanish cedar. The head is faced with ebony which has been carved in an abstract vase pattern, with a relieved background textured to resemble a tiny square basket weave. Tuning machines have engraved brass plates and crescent-shaped grips. The fingerboard is ebony with high frets.

This guitar is in good condition with no repairs other than a repaired bridge and some polish being added to the original French polish of shellac finish to rejuvenate and restore some minor playing wear. Sound is good but less than concert quality.
