This two-piece soundboard is made of close- and straight-grained cedar with double purfling. The rosette has a red flower and green leaf mosaic on a yellow field banded with red, green and yellow rings. The bridge is rosewood with its tie-block edged with bone.
Back and sides are Indian rosewood. The two-piece back has a center strip with natural wood fillets and has single purfling. The neck and head are unusual in that the head is spliced to the neck between the nut and the second fret, and a 5mm discontinuous step is necessary from the back of the neck to the back of the head. The head is veneered with rosewood on both front and back. The pointed heel is exceptionally long (40mm). The ebony fingerboard has medium frets. The inside of the soundboard is signed “O Raponi,” and the foot of the heel-block is stamped “O. RAPONI ROMA.” This guitar is in excellent condition.
