The soundboard is made from matched halves of red cedar with uniform grain spacing of about 28 per inch. The rosette has a theme band showing a chain of mosaic diamond outlines in red and green on a natural background. This band is bordered with red, black, and heavy black circles. The rosette is visually contained with inner and outer perimeters of black and white herringbone bands. The bridge is rosewood and its tie-block is edged with bone.

Back and sides are Indian rosewood with double purfling. The center seam of the back is filleted with a light-colored strip. Neck and head are mahogany with the front of the head faced with rosewood.

The unusual heel-block and foot are monolithic with a sculptured front end. A logotype of intertwined letters “M” and “F” appears on the heel-block. The internal soundboard on the bass side of the soundhole is hand printed:

1 – 2 – 81
(undecipherable)
M. Fleeson

This guitar is in excellent condition after having its soundboard refinished.
