The soundboard is made of matched halves of red cedar with grain spacing of 40 per inch near the center to 18 per inch at the edges. The rosette has a theme band of opposing black scroll brackets coupled together with chains of three green diamonds. The bridge is rosewood with its tie-block topped with bone and wood rectangles. The golpeador is clear plastic.

Back and sides are cypress. Neck and head are cedar with the face of the head veneered with rosewood. The neck has a lengthwise rosewood anti-warp strip laminated into it which also gives a decorative detail along the back of the neck. Tuning pegs are turned from rosewood and have mother-of-pearl dots inset into the small ends. The fingerboard is ebony and has large frets.

This guitar is in excellent condition showing little evidence of use. The sound is smooth at lower volumes, turning brittle but clear and substantial when the guitar is played forcefully. Its tones carry well outdoors.
