The soundboard is made from halves of straight, evenly grained spruce, with grain spacing of 18 per inch. The rosette has a main design band of mosaic dots. Concentric circles and half-chevron bands complete the attractive rosette. The bridge is made of rosewood and has its tie-block edged with bone. The top purfling shows a thin line of red to complement the rosette.

Back and sides are Brazilian rosewood. Neck and head are cedar, and the face of the head is veneered with rosewood that has been neatly beveled around the slots. The fingerboard is rosewood with large frets. This guitar is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs; only the aging of its original French polish of shellac finish keeps it from being as-new. López’s Madrid luthier stamp appears on the foot of the heel-block.
