The soundboard of this classical guitar shows the tablao heritage. The plantilla has a lower bout which is, at 380mm, wide for classical guitars, and, atavistically, the lower soundboard is braced only with seven ample symmetrical fan-struts extending from the lower harmonic bar to the very edges of the lower bout. The soundboard is arched both across its width and its length, as is the back, a shape referred to in the Ramírez I catalog as forma ahuevada (egg-shaped). The soundboard is made from three unmatched pieces of spruce with the seam positions near the ends of the tie-block. Grain spacing varies from 22 to 13 per inch. The wide rosette (30mm) is rendered in black and natural colors. The substantial bridge is made of ebony with an arched shape carved into the bottom to fit and help shape the arched soundboard. The tie-block is edged with bone strips for string wear protection.

Back and sides are mahogany with light wood edging and there is double purfling on the top. The back is constructed of unmatched halves with a wedge-shaped section almost invisibly seamed into the bass half. Head and neck are mahogany and the face of the head is veneered with rosewood. The fingerboard is dyed wood with medium-height frets. The original French polish of shellac finish has been retouched.
