This guitar is suitable for any concert guitarist, with a full sound with precise trebles. Volume is available on command. Color range and sustain are excellent, and the player can readily balance the full range of notes. Harmonics are beautiful.

The soundboard is made from unmatched halves of fine quartersawn spruce with straight, highly defined grain of uniform 20 per inch spacing. The rosette has a central band showing a “mustache” pattern in black set in a rust background. The bridge is of rosewood with its tie-block edged in bone and faced with a design strip matching the rosette.

Back and sides are Brazilian rosewood. Neck and head are made of mahogany and the head is faced with rosewood. Tuning machines are Landstorfer deluxe models with engraved brass plates and mother-of pearl grips. The ebony fingerboard has medium frets. The finish is French polish of shellac. The inside of the soundboard is signed “David J. Rubio” on the bass side. The instrument exhibits fine workmanship and is in excellent condition.
