The soundboard of this guitar is made of two pieces of unmatched spruce with grain spacing averaging 26 per inch. The rosette has a circular main design band of nested diamonds in green and black. The bridge is made of rosewood. Its tie-block is topped with bone and inset into this bone is a rectangle of half-chevrons matching those in the rosette. Back and sides are Brazilian rosewood with single purfling. Head and neck are mahogany with the face of the head veneered with rosewood. The fingerboard is ebony with medium-height frets. Fernández’s Madrid luthier stamp appears on the foot of the heel-block.
This guitar is in very good condition and appears to be almost unplayed, but it has repaired cracks in the top and back which are probably the result of exposure to humidity variations.
